BoatClubsAmerica Selects Jim Bronstien as key Consultant for major Ft. Lauderdale Marina Project
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – (August 9, 2007) – BoatClubsAmerica today announced the appointment of Jim Bronstien as a key consultant for the marina development team of Ft Lauderdale BoatClub, a 12-acre marine and commercial land project located on The New River in the “marina mile” district.
Bronstien joins the team with nearly 25 years of marine operations experience, much of it as the former president and owner of Rybovich in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he transformed the company into the country’s premier boat builder and yacht yard prior to selling the company in 2004. Most recently, Bronstien has established himself as an industry consultant in high demand for both the international and domestic domains of the yacht and ship yard industry. His recent assignments included a role as COO of Broward Marine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, during that company’s ownership transition. In addition, Bronstien is consulting with the leading California-based Bellport Group’s boat yard operation. Additionally, Bronstien is engaged with the Marina Pez Vela marina and boat yard project in Quepos, Costa Rica. Bronstien is a noted industry speaker and has just returned from Sydney, Australia, where he was selected as the keynote speaker for the Marine Service Managers training program for the Australian marine trade industry.
“Jim’s extensive knowledge of the industry as well as yacht and boat yard operations will greatly complement our team as we complete our planning and design phase for the Ft Lauderdale BoatClub marina property,” said Ed Ruff, president of BoatClubsAmerica. “There are a number of mixed-use activities being designed into this site, and Jim’s know-how in the area of yacht service will complement our unique combination of goals for this new marine property (formerly known as Jackson Marine).”
“This marina property has a great location,” said Bronstien. “I’m delighted to be a part of the design and planning for Ft Lauderdale BoatClub. The preliminary plans are looking very good and I’m looking forward to discussing the specifics very soon.”
