Jim Bronstien, a 25 year South Florida Marine Industry veteran, is currently the owner of Marine Business Advisors, a consulting firm specializing in assisting marine oriented businesses with organizational, operational, and business development issues. Jim is widely known and highly regarded as an industry veteran and is known by many as the former Owner and President of Rybovich located in West Palm Beach where he presided for over 21 years before selling the company in 2004.

Over the past 6 years, Jim has partnered with numerous marine businesses in either an executive advisory role or partnership role. Jim is an active partner with Marina Pez Vela marina development project in Quepos, Costa Rica and Saunders Yacht Works in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Other clients includes Maritech Services (exclusive service agent for National Liquidators), and companies such as Broward Marine, Huckins, City of Kodiak Alaska, Boat Clubs America, Yacht Path, Bellport Marine Group, Sacks Group and others.

With degrees in both finance and marketing from the University of Colorado, Jim has a vast amount of knowledge and experience in all facets of business and is highly regarded by all customers, employees and peers who have ever worked with or for him. Jim is also seasoned in public speaking and communications and is a frequent speaker in numerous marine industry functions, including IBEX and others. He is also the lead instructor in ABBRA’s Marine Service Manager’s Training program.

Jim has been very active in the industry over the years and has served on a number of industry boards such as Marine Industry Association of South Florida, Marine Industry Association of Palm Beach County (which he founded and chaired) and American Boatbuilders and Repairers Association (which he chaired).

In Palm Beach County, he has served over ten years on the county’s Tourist Development Council. He is also Chairman of the Palm Beach County Area Red Cross Chapter and an active committee member of the area’s waterfront use committee.
